NTR - 625 Fundamentals of Nutrition Care

This course will provide an overview of the nutrition care process in the inpatient and outpatient area. Fundamentals of nutrition care will be introduced. Additionally, the pathophysiology of disease and the interrelated role of nutrition in prevention, etiology and treatment of disease will be included. A major part of the class involves a critical review of the nutrition literature in prevention and treatment of acute and chronic disease. Corequisite: NTR-625P. Offered: Spring.
