HSC - 652 The Research Process I


This course promotes the development, integration, and application of the knowledge, attitudes, and skills required to function as a health scientist. This course provides an overview of the research process and a brief philosophical basis of health research within the context of current issues and trends in health sciences. The research literature serves as the foundation for examining research problems, developing problem statements, and conceptualizing research questions. Finally, theoretically and conceptual frameworks ground and enrich the research process as students explore appropriate research designs, including sampling, common study designs, and data collection.
