CHS - 601 Introduction to Biostatistics


This course is designed to develop knowledge of the application of statistics for the health care professional. Material covered in this course includes an understanding of basic descriptive statistics, normality, parametric and non-parametric hypothesis testing and simple linear regression. The focus of the course is to develop a familiarity with statistical concepts and use basic statistics to help with decision making. The course will also provide a basic framework of statistical knowledge, should the student be interested in pursuing additional coursework later in their careers. Offered: Fall & Spring.
