RCP - 530 Cardiac Diseases

Topics include the etiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of common cardiac and cardiovascular conditions. Respiratory care management of cardiac and cardiovascular disorders, shock, trauma, renal failure, acute G.I. disturbances, and invasive cardiovascular procedures will be reviewed. Additionally, learners will learn to interpret 12-lead ECGs and obtain their ACLS credentials. Pre- or Corequisite: RCP-512. Offered: Fall.
